Robert Barber, who founded Barber & Associates in 1979, has over 40 years’ worth of experience in accounting. His passion for serving clients, his focus on getting results and his ability to come up with solutions to a wide variety of challenging tax issues is what helps keep the firm’s customer base loyal over long periods of time.
Bob received his CPA designation in 1976 and is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the Estate Planning Council of Westchester County (NY). He has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committees of the Washingtonville Housing Alliance and is a past member of the Business Network International BNI- Lombardi Chapter. His expertise in tax matters is highly sought-after by both peers and other professionals, particularly in the field of fiduciary accounting. He has been a speaker / panelist at numerous accounting events and is always looking to add to his knowledge base through constant attendance at seminars.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Lehigh University.
Richard Kenyon has over 45 years of experience in public accounting, large-firm audit and small-business consulting. He has been with Barber & Associates, P.C. since 1991 and is licensed in the states of New York, Connecticut and Illinois. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of CPAs, Connecticut CPA Society and the Estate Planning Council of Westchester County (NY).
Rich has a background in both accounting and industry, giving him very good perspective on how to help small-business owners with their day-to-day challenges. Before joining Barber & Associates, Rich was the Treasurer / CFO of an NYSE-listed company, the division controller of a Chicago-based broker/dealer and worked for Arthur Anderson with an emphasis on financial service companies. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois and served in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.
